Senator Nikki Torres is a lifelong Mid-Columbia resident and proud representative of Washington’s 15th Legislative District. Elected to the state Senate in 2022, she is a dedicated community leader focused on strengthening agriculture, expanding economic opportunity, improving education, supporting innovation at Hanford, and advancing the diverse communities of the Yakima Valley and greater Tri-Cities region.
A graduate of Pasco High School, Nikki earned an associate degree from Columbia Basin College and went on to receive both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from the University of Phoenix. She built her professional career in small business lending at Gesa Credit Union, where she worked closely with local entrepreneurs to help them grow and succeed.
Nikki brings a strong record of public service and community leadership. She is a former president of the Tri-Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and previously served on the Pasco City Council. Her additional service includes the Washington Childcare Collaborative Task Force, the Kennewick Police Department Foundation Board, the Tri-Cities Community Health Board, and Visit Tri-Cities. She has also volunteered with Junior Achievement and served as a Girl Scout co-troop leader.
A proud mother of two daughters and grandmother of three, Nikki is deeply rooted in the Tri-Cities community where she lives and remains committed to serving families, workers, and businesses across Central Washington.
